BreakOut 2022 will take place on June 24th and 25th! Zeltschule e.V. is going to be our donation partner and we want to collect as much money as possible for the Wüstenrennmaus school. If the situation of the corona pandemic allows it, then this year we want to return to the original concept of BreakOut. However, if you still want to reduce contacts, you are welcome to take part in the BreakOut on foot, by bike or other means of transport. Therefore, all teams of two may start again at a self-chosen location. We are currently still planning whether we can make a joint start in Munich possible.
In 36 hours. In teams of two. Without money. As far as possible. For a good cause.
BreakOut is a charity travel competition for the adventurous. Once a year, the participants start in pairs from Munich, Berlin and also, since last year, Cologne. You have 36 hours to travel as far away as possible without spending money on transportation. The teams travel for a good cause all over Europe on a donkey, bike, by foot, in a car, by train or submarine. The concept follows the idea of a donation marathon: Each team collects donations from their team sponsors for each kilometer traveled. The organization behind BreakOut is a student group of 20 young people volunteering for the planning, organization and implementation of the BreakOut. Here you can find out how to BreakOut
In 2022 BreakOut supports Zeltschule e.V. as a partner organization. The NGO builds and manages tent schools for Syrian refugees in Lebanon and provides the families in the camps with food and medicine.
With this support and the education of the children, Zeltschule e.V. creates perspectives for the people in the camps and also does active peace work and terrorism prevention.
The money from BreakOut 2022 will support the school "Wüstenrennmaus". It exists since March 1st, 2020 and 250 children go to school there.
In 2020/21 BreakOut supported Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. The non-profit organisation is committed to ensuring that all people worldwide have access to clean drinking water.
